About the Author

As a writer, I’ve switched back and forth between fiction and non-fiction. This website mostly features fiction. but I was a reporter and researcher for the New York City teachers union and still have a special interest in education and labor. I covered business and federal courts as a reporter and editor for Reuters, Knight-Ridder Financial News and other publications. I still love the discipline of journalism, and teach newswriting at Brooklyn College. I live part time in the northern Catskills and more time in Brooklyn, NY. I have a fabulous family.
